I lost weight easily many years ago, did not exercise or yo-yo with loss and gain; still keeping it off while enjoying my food. MOST OF ALL I LEARNED HOW TO SHAPE MY THOUGHTS, ACTIONS, AND THE WORLD AROUND ME WITH using “THIS WAY,” all the simple things I tell you. I have good health. But, at 6ft and about 275 pounds, I realized at 60 I did not want to become a Type II Diabetic. It could kill me. I was determined to lose weight I prayed and contemplated, knowing wisdom must be looked for.

Being an engineer, I researched. After studying about our bodies metabolism and how it uses our foods… I was convinced exercise is too tough a way to lose weight, though some exercise is good for our health.
Our body is so efficient using food it can go for hours on a small number of calories. It takes a long time to burn off the results of poor eating habits. I am lazy, though I call it being efficient. I do not like doing any kind of endeavor that is not fun.
I Always make it fun though!!!
The way is to limit portion sizes to nutritional needs and keep eating what is enjoyed. Scale back on drinking a lot of juices. I enjoyed desserts of fruits prepared in many ways. Air-popped popcorn helped too. Personal pleasures aided discipline. AFTER EATING INVOLVE YOURSELF IN ANY PLEASURE, SELF INDULGENCE OR VICE, instead of eating more.
My Physician, a wise Nurse Practitioner wants me to lose more for a weight of 175 pounds. None of the lost weight has come back after many years, and I continue to make slow, steady, healthy progress with weight loss, also feeling joy with success!
